Imhoff Homestead :: Interior Textures + Lighting

The Interior Lighting + Textures of a home is really what brings everything together.  I have worked tirelessly trying to pull all my visions together to make this house feel warm and cozy like our hold house, but still maintain the level of modern elements throughout.

For this home I am mixing s few metals of iron and brushed nickel together for both lighting and hardware.  Our home has grays, blacks and white ... SHOCKER, I know, but brings in natural elements like a natural jute rug, woven natural seagrass baskets, and pops of green with our fiddle leaf trees.

I believe the easiest way to pull all the elements and textures together is to go with neutral tones for larger pieces of furniture.  Our large sectional for the family room is a very light grey in color.  To stay consistent, I added a marble top coffee table with black iron legs, black curtain rods paired with a neutral off white linens, and natural based rugs.  These will all allow the beauty of the home to shine, while creating a soft, relaxing atmosphere.  When using lots of harsh blacks in the home, I made sure to add an equal amount of soft linens rugs to help balance it out.
