Imhoff Homestead :: Kitchen Dining Reveal

Monday, June 12, 2017
When you think about what you want your kitchen dining area to look like, there are SO many options these days.  I kept finding myself in-between multiple different styles, and trying to in corporate a few of them together to get the best of both function and design.

I knew I wanted to mix both farmhouse feel with french accents.  But I didn't want the room to feel too formal, as this is the area where we eat ALL the time, so at the same time, it needed to be extremely functional.

The Table:
I couldn't find a table and chairs that I liked together, so I decided to build my dining area around the table.  I found a few different options, but ultimately, I found a round, distressed, wooden table for only $600.  I couldn't believe it!  Our table before was all black, and was old and chipped.  It also only sat four total, and when the kids would have friends over, we were always having to pull up additional chairs.  So to have a table that holds five to six was a great find for the price.  The table we landed on was the Dublin Dining Table Dovetail Round, 63" diameter Table.  Retails for over $3,000.

The Chairs:
The chairs were another steal.  You may remember this post where I picked six different styles.  I finally decided between two, and ultimately went with the more formal, which are the Paige Dining Chars from World Market. I purchased the 5 chairs for a total of $650.00, I thought that was a steal, since the normal price would have been well over $1200 for six!

Elements:
To complete the look, and to make the space warmer, I added Linen Curtains in an Ivory Cream color. I also added a woven, circular, jute rug to complete the look.
